What is force follow, and how and when is it used?
A force follow shot is a follow shot hit with maximum topspin and fast speed. This term is used mostly when referring to a nearly straight-in (small cut angle) follow shot. Here’s an example from BU Exam III (Advanced Shots):
With a nearly straight force-follow shot at a shallow angle to a rail, you need to be careful to not scratch, as demonstrated here:
