What is force follow, how and when is it used, and what is the proper technique?
A force follow shot is a follow shot hit with maximum topspin and fast speed. This term is used mostly when referring to a nearly straight-in (small cut angle) follow shot. Examples and technique advice can be found in this video:
With a nearly straight force-follow shot at a shallow angle to a rail, you need to be careful to not scratch, as demonstrated here:
